Purchase HERE! so I can get my paws on some of Bezos’ obscene wealth.
I haven’t read Sara Sligar’s previous novel, but after breaknecking my way through her Vantage Point (out this week), I feel obligated to add it and anything else the author has ever written to my impossible TBR pile.
The new novel—which has zero to do with the like-titled 2008 movie starring Dennis Quaid and Sigourney Weaver—combines a family curse with deep fake technology. Plus political scandal, additional fuel for my ongoing argument that the super rich are no damn good, and an appealing (to me) addiction/recovery thread.
Ms. Sligar combines several of my favorite elements of fiction—betrayal, revenge, a protagonist whom all the other characters think is off her nut—and plays it beautifully. And I’m happy to learn that the author (or at least her troubled heroine) thinks crypto is as boneheaded as I do.
Vantage Point is available in hardcover from Macmillan and on Audible, narrated by Adam Ewer, Helen Laser and Jess Nahikian.
